A Michigan couple welcomed a baby girl, Audrey, on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, breaking a long-standing family record. Carolyn and Andrew Clark, the proud parents, are thrilled to have a new addition to their family. In a wonderful twist, they have made history in their family lineage. According to Andrew’s family records, Audrey is the first daughter to be born on his side of the family since 1885.
The couple revealed that they suffered a miscarriage in 2021, which made Audrey’s arrival even more special. After the tragic loss, they prayed for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. They were absolutely ecstatic when they found out they were expecting.
In September, the couple invited their family over for a gender reveal party, where they discovered they were having a girl. Carolyn shared that they did not care if they were having a boy or a girl. They were simply just grateful to be pregnant again. However, it was a surprise when they found out they were having a girl since they both assumed they would have a boy.
Andrew’s family had an impressive family record, but Carolyn admitted she did not believe it when she first heard it. She asked his parents to further confirm this information. She was shocked to discover that Andrew’s side of the family had not had a girl in their direct lineage for over 130 years.
Audrey was born weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and measuring 19.5 inches long. Both Carolyn and Andrew are thrilled that she is healthy and that everything went well during the delivery. The family is overjoyed to have Audrey in their lives. Her arrival also marks a new chapter for the couple and their family, making history in their lineage.
