Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has emphasised the need for enhanced technological and communication support for Nigeria’s military to effectively combat ongoing killings in the north-central region.

Speaking on a television program, he highlighted that the military requires additional resources, particularly in technology and communication, to address the escalating insecurity.

He noted that recent attacks in Benue and Plateau states have resulted in significant casualties and displacement, underscoring the urgency for improved security measures.

Governor Sule also pointed out that the perpetrators are identifiable by their distinct language and appearance, suggesting they are not native Nigerians.

He stressed the difficulty in monitoring Nigeria’s borders, which contributes to the infiltration of these foreign assailants.

Governor Sule concluded by reiterating the importance of bolstering the military’s capabilities through better technology and communication to restore peace in the affected areas.
