Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Mohbad, expressed frustration after his petitioner failed to appear in court, adding another layer of complexity to his quest for justice.
Initially reaching out to Nigerians in a viral video, Aloba had voiced concerns over an invitation from the Alagbon police station, suspecting it was an attempt to silence or detain him.
Providing an update on the situation, Aloba disclosed that despite his compliance with the police summons, the petitioner failed to show up. He lamented the silence surrounding the loss of his son and urged continued support in the pursuit of justice for Mohbad.
Reports suggest that the petitioner is the Oba of Elegushi, who filed a suit against Aloba for cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and criminal defamation. Aloba’s legal representative clarified that the allegations stemmed from an interview granted by Aloba, with no concrete evidence provided except for a petition authored by Mohbad before his passing.
Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, Aloba emphasized that he was neither arrested nor detained during the process.
The tragic death of Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s record label, remains shrouded in mystery. Speculations surrounding his demise intensified after videos circulated showing alleged mistreatment by his former boss and associates. The Nigeria Police continue their investigation to uncover the truth behind Mohbad’s untimely passing.
In a startling revelation, Aloba implicated Mohbad’s mistress in his death during an interview, though he refrained from disclosing her identity. He also disavowed any relation to a child named Liam, asserting discrepancies in the child’s name and familial traits. As the legal battle ensues and the quest for answers persists, Aloba remains steadfast in seeking justice for his son’s memory.
