The Osun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Saheed Wasiu, commonly known as K Federal. According to a statement signed by Yemisi Opalola, the command’s spokesman, police sought Wasiu previously on charges of murder and cult activity.
A recent statement reports that police detectives from the Osun State Special Anti-Cultism Unit arrested Saheed Wasiu, also known as K-Federal, on murder charges in the Alusekere area of Ede. Reports suggest that the Eiye Confraternity had affiliations with Wasiu and Rasheed Hammed, also known as Oko-Ilu. Hammed held a leadership position and authorities arrested them jointly.
Police spokesperson Yemisi Opalola stated that Wasiu’s arrest resulted from a tip-off indicating his presence in Alusekere. During interrogation, Wasiu confessed to belonging to the Eiye confraternity led by Rasheed Hammed. Reports claim that the group killed nearly 20 innocent people in Ede town and dumped their bodies in the Sagba area of Osun River.
Opalola also stated that both suspects will undergo further investigation and stand trial.
