NCC’s Vice Chairman praised the Federal Government’s CNII Executive Order, issued by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a watershed moment for the business.
According to Aminu Maida:
“This designation provides a framework to tackle key challenges like vandalism, fibre cuts, and restricted access to facilities.”
The EVC also highlighted that the telecommunications sector has long suffered with these difficulties, which cost operators billions of dollars and impede connection.
NCC’s Vice Chairman went on to praise the government, business actors, and regulators for their engagement, stating that the project would guarantee Nigerians had a safe and resilient communication network.
