Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, has announced that the next stage of Israel’s assault against Hezbollah will begin shortly.
Gallant informed the chiefs of regional councils in northern Israel of this during a meeting with the so-called “Confrontation Line” conference on Monday.
According to CNN, the Israeli Defense Minister also acknowledged the present security situation, stating that the fight with Hezbollah was “necessary” for northern Israeli civilians to come home.
The Israeli Defense Minister said:
“The next stage in the war against Hezbollah will begin soon – it will be a significant factor in changing the security situation and will allow us to complete the important part of the war’s goals: returning the residents to their homes.”
Gallant also stated that he had visited Israeli soldiers and talked with military leaders on the border with Lebanon.
“They are prepared, strong, and in close cooperation,” he added.
