Nigerian troops have successfully eliminated a notorious terrorist leader during a military operation in Zamfara State.
The operation, conducted by troops of the Nigerian Army in collaboration with local vigilante groups, targeted a hideout in a remote area of the state, leading to the death of the high-profile insurgent and several of his fighters.
Military sources confirmed that the terrorist kingpin, whose identity has not been officially disclosed, was responsible for coordinating multiple attacks, kidnappings, and extortion activities across Zamfara and neighbouring states.
