Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has shared his disappointment with the state of affairs in the country, particularly in reaction to a trending video of Sam Larry, an embattled aide to singer Naira Marley, engaging in charity work.
In the video, Sam Larry is seen distributing exercise books to pupils in a school, a move that has sparked conversations online. Many view this as an attempt at damage control following previous controversies.
Expressing his discontent, Joseph Momodu simply commented, “This country tho. It is well,” in a blog’s comment section.
This recent charity work isn’t the first time Sam Larry has been involved in philanthropy. In November, alongside Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, they visited an orphanage home to donate food items, attempting to repair their public image.
However, these charitable acts have faced criticism, with some suggesting that they are merely attempts to buy back public favour. One Twitter user predicted that the duo might engage in online giveaways, anticipating that people would quickly forget the past and drop their account details for financial gains.
