Esther Kalejaye joins a growing list of Nigerian celebrities who have attained dual citizenship this year. Back in March, Nigerian musician Lamboginny proudly shared his own milestone of becoming a US citizen. In a heartfelt message, Lamboginny expressed his gratitude to God and his partner, Bambii, who supported him throughout the process.
The trend continued last year when Aliyah Fiyinfoluwa Odetola, daughter of Fuji star Pasuma, also became a Canadian citizen at the age of 21. She shared the news with her followers through a celebratory post showing off her new passport. Similarly, Nollywood star Uche Jombo also became a US citizen in 2022, with her colleagues, including Ini Edo and Omoni Oboli, celebrating the achievement alongside her.
In addition, actor Osinachi recently made headlines after revealing that he had obtained his US green card. Osinachi celebrated the milestone with his fans, humorously vowing never to return to Nigeria as he shared a picture of his passport.
