The Ogun State Government alerted the public on Wednesday about an online recruitment advertisement for positions in the state’s Civil Service Commission.

Tokunbo Odebunmi, the commission’s chairman, stated in a statement signed by the commission’s permanent secretary, Roseline Jacobs, that the publication was a prank committed by persons with the intent of maligning the state government’s image.

Jacobs stated that the commission will not recruit online but rather through its headquarters in Block A, New Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

In its statement, the commission asked the public to shun the internet publication in order to avoid becoming a victim.
