Oluwo of Iwo

The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi and his wife, Olori Firdaus, have welcomed their first child together. In a statement issued on Wednesday night, March 15th, 2023, the press secretary to the monarch, Alli Ibrahim, confirmed the news and expressed Oluwo’s appreciation for the “handsome, promising child” and gratitude to God for the blessing.

The Oluwo also congratulated his wife on the arrival of their baby. He also praised her for her strength during the pregnancy. He expressed confidence that the child would be greater and more prosperous than him. Furthermore, he congratulated his “beautiful, elegant, respectful and loving queen Firdaus” on this joyous occasion.

The couple got married in Kano State on March 19th, 2022, and this marks their first child together. The Oluwo’s previous marriage to Chanel Chin, a Jamaican, produced a son, but the marriage ended in December 2019.

The arrival of their new child is a happy and momentous occasion for Oluwo and his wife. We extend our warmest congratulations to them on their new arrival. Welcoming a new addition to the family is always an exciting moment, and we are thrilled to congratulate the couple on the birth of their beautiful baby.
