The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his fourth wife, Queen Ashley Ogunwusi, are celebrating three beautiful years of marriage.
Marking the special occasion, Queen Ashley took to her Instagram page to share stunning photos of herself, the Ooni, and their family, accompanied by a touching message to her husband.
In her love note, the queen expressed that from the day the Ooni chose her, her heart found its home in him. She reflected on their journey together, saying that every shared moment — from laughter to challenges, quiet nights to joyful mornings — has only strengthened her love for the monarch.
Calling the Ooni her “greatest blessing, strength, comfort, and forever,” Queen Ashley vowed to continue loving and standing by him through all of life’s seasons.
“Happy anniversary, my love, my heart.
From the day you chose me, my heart found its home in you.
Every moment we’ve shared, through laughter, through challenges, through quiet nights and joyful mornings, has only deepened my love for you.
You are my greatest blessing, my strength, my comfort, and my forever,” she wrote.
The mother of two prayed for God’s continued grace and protection over her husband, describing him as her peace and safe place.
The Ooni of Ife and Princess Ashley tied the knot in October 2023, making her the monarch’s fourth wife. The lavish royal wedding, held in Ile-Ife, had several dignitaries and traditional rulers in attendance.
Since their union, Queen Ashley has often shared glimpses of their love life, celebrating her husband’s qualities and expressing gratitude for God’s faithfulness in their marriage.
