Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Trade Operations Officer located in Lekki. The Head Trade Operations Officer provides the operations support for Treasury and credit business of the Company. Ensure all interbank settlements are done as and when due in line with the applicable policies and the market regulation.

 Responsibilities

▪ Ensure all interbank transactions are promptly confirmed

▪ Ensure customers transactions are treated with utmost importance and urgency it deserves.

▪ Book loans and overdrafts as approved by the Company

▪ Ensure funds transfer transactions are processed

▪ Give adequate feedback to clients and customers concerning their trades

▪ Resolve all queries and customer complaints relating to the desk

▪ Settle all interbank transactions accordingly

▪ Ensure confirmations are generated and sent to customers or counter parties

▪ Perform any other duty as may be determined by the Supervisor

▪ Identify and escalate any OFAC hit for transactions reviewed

▪ Timely feedback

▪ Follow up on cases that hit compliance

▪ Accurate confirmation of Time Deposit trades with our brokers within Fund Accountant and Custodian deadlines

▪ Position Reconciliation between Trading and accounting system

▪ Research and respond the actual and Potential overdraft

▪ Preparation and reporting of Custodial Cash Balances

▪ Liaison with other teams for wire payments and data set up

▪ Ensuring that processing is carried out in compliance to the policy, procedures and regulations

▪ Provide data as required on activities of the desk

▪ Ensure investigation of reconciliation items and proper closure of all items outstanding.

▪ Participate in all team building exercises of the team and contribute positively to the progress of the company

Competencies and Skills

▪ Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Bank Reconciliation

▪ Knowledge of general accounting practices and principles

▪ Excellent communication skills – both oral and written

▪ Attention to details

 Qualifications

▪ Minimum of BSC/HND in Finance Related Courses

▪ A minimum of 4 years’ experience in account reconciliation and operations of a bank or Finance company.
