Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, one half of the defunct Psquare group, has fired back at a Twitter user who mocked him over his recent post about rich people and shame.
Hours earlier, Peter shared photos of himself with billionaire Aliko Dangote, stating that wealthy people do not have shame and are always bold enough to chase opportunities. According to him, “shame is for the broke ones.”
However, his statement didn’t sit well with a particular X user, who took a swipe at the singer by bringing up his hair transplant. The user wrote:
“You no get shame, but you go do hair transplant. You for baldishly dey pursue opportunity. Advice just full everyone’s mouth until e reach their turn.”
Responding sharply, Peter reminded the critic that his openness about undergoing a hair transplant actually proves his point.
“Remember, I had no shame but still showing it off to the world that I had an implant! Get it!” he replied.
This exchange comes barely a week after Peter engaged another troll who told him to “kill pride” and reconcile with his twin brother, Paul Okoye. Peter responded sarcastically, telling the user to “cry harder” and even offered him a bucket to shed more tears.
The singer has been quite vocal on social media lately. Not long ago, he confirmed the end of Psquare, declaring that “there is no Psquare anymore, I am my own Square.” He added that Nigerians should “manage” his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye, as the new Psquare.
Peter also threw a subtle shade at his family months ago, urging people not to let family ties drown them in silence. Reflecting on his own experience, he shared that he stayed quiet for over 20 years, and it cost him everything. He emphasized that “love doesn’t manipulate, loyalty doesn’t betray, and family doesn’t steal from you.”
