Nigerian rapper Phyno is making headlines after reports emerged that he has sponsored his house help, Nkechi, to study in the United Kingdom.
The young woman, who had been working with the artist for over five years, was unable to attend university due to her family’s financial constraints. Phyno, who believes Nkechi “can’t be a house girl forever,” took it upon himself to ensure she completes her education abroad.
The news of Phyno’s generous act has stirred a variety of reactions on social media, with many users applauding his kindness while others speculated on the motivations behind his decision. The story first surfaced online, detailing how Nkechi, unable to afford university due to her family’s financial status, was employed by Phyno. After five years of loyal service, the rapper decided to invest in her future by sending her to the UK to complete her education.
