Morayo Afolabi-Brown, a well-known Nigerian television personality, has officially resigned from her position at TVC Communications.

The company confirmed her departure in a statement issued on Tuesday by Edward Akintara, the Public Relations Manager. Her last day with the broadcast station will be August 29, 2025.

Afolabi-Brown had served as the Managing Director of TVC’s Entertainment channel since her appointment in November 2023. Before taking on the leadership role, she was a prominent co-anchor on the station’s popular morning talk show, Your View, which she had been part of since 2013. Her resignation comes just under two years after her promotion to the executive position.

In the statement, TVC expressed gratitude for her contributions and wished her success in her future endeavours. “As she embarks on this exciting new chapter, we wish her continued success and fulfilment,” Akintara said. “Her legacy will always be a valued part of our story, and she remains a beloved member of the TVC family.”

The announcement has sparked reactions from fans and industry observers, many of whom have followed her career over the years. While the reasons for her resignation were not disclosed, the move marks a significant shift for both Afolabi-Brown and the network.

Her departure raises questions about potential changes in TVC’s programming and leadership structure. Meanwhile, supporters have taken to social media to express their admiration for her work and to wish her well in her next venture.
