The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are scheduled to arrive in Nigeria today.
This Friday’s visit is expected to last for three days barring any last-minute change.
Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are coming to Nigeria for a three-day special visit at the request of Gen. Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff.
Air Vice Marshal Abidemi Marquis, Director of Sports at Defence Headquarters (DHQ), stated that the Duke and his wife will spend three days in Nigeria.
They will also interact with wounded troops and their families before leaving Nigeria.
He stated that the visit, slated from May 10th to 13th, 2024, will assist injured soldiers in their recovery efforts.
“Because we realised that 80 per cent of our soldiers have been involved in this recovery programme, they are getting better.
“Their outlook on life is positive. You know, when you are engaged in, you experience a permanent disability.
“You know, issues, it affects your mental health and also your outlook on life,” Marquis said.
Megan and Prince Harry’s visit was confirmed by Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters in April.
