Big Brother Naija star Queen Mercy Atang and her husband, David Oyekanmi, have once again stirred break-up rumours after fans noticed they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The couple, who tied the knot last year, appear to be going through another rough patch in their marriage. Checks by Kemi Filani revealed that David has also stopped wearing his wedding ring, as seen in his recent Instagram uploads.
This new observation quickly caught the attention of fans, who trooped to his comment section with questions and concerns about the state of their union.
“I hope things are okay in your home,” one follower wrote.
“You and Queen don’t even wear your rings anymore. I miss the vibe,” another added.
This is not the first time Queen and David have sparked separation rumours. In October 2023, barely seven months after their wedding, Queen unfollowed her husband on Instagram, deleted his pictures from her page, and even removed his name from her bio.
At the time, many believed their young marriage had collapsed. However, the couple silenced the speculations during the festive season when Queen travelled to the UK to spend Christmas with David. She shared photos and videos, confirming she was back to her “wifey duties,” while David also welcomed her home with warmth and promised to spoil her.
Queen and David’s union had been celebrated widely when they got married in March 2023. The reality star held her wedding introduction in Akwa Ibom with colleagues like Nini Singh in attendance, before the pair had their civil wedding at the Federal Marriage Registry in Lagos.
