In a news by TMZ, American Rapper Playboi Carti (real name, Jordan Carter) has been arrested in Georgia. The arrest is for allegedly choking his pregnant girlfriend during an argument over a paternity test. The rapper’s girlfriend had reportedly told the police that she’s been in a relationship with him for 2 years. She stated that she had lived with him since July 2022 and was 14 weeks pregnant at the time of the alleged incident on December 20.
According to the lady, she wanted to discuss the pregnancy with Playboi Carti. However, the mention of a paternity test resulted in an argument which in turn escalated into a physical attack. She also stated that a witness had jumped in and tried to break up the fight. As soon as she escaped, she ran to her car where she claimed to have been attacked by him again. This time, he grabbed her by the throat and pushed her, holding her neck until she could barely breathe.
She also claimed that Playboi had also tried pulling her out of the car while putting his hand over her mouth as she attempted to use the vehicle SOS feature to contact the police.
The cops reported seeing visible injuries around her neck, chest and back. Hence Playboi was arrested for felony aggravated assault. Nevertheless, his attorney, Brian Steel had denied this saying :
Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney‘s office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”
