Reality TV star Doyin took to her Instagram story to disclose the reasons behind her decision to no longer attend church, citing a recent scandal involving a US-based pastor.
The pastor in question confessed to stealing $1.3 million from his church members, claiming that he did it because God instructed him to.
Expressing her disbelief, Doyin shared the pastor’s statement and questioned the absurdity of blaming God for fraudulent actions. She emphasized how the standards for religion seem to be decreasing, making it increasingly challenging for people to trust certain statements within the religious sphere.
Doyin criticized the pastor’s attempt to push the blame onto God and questioned how church members would defend such behaviour.
