Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu tells men verbally abusing their women that words can cause pain as deep and lasting as physical violence.

Taking to her Instagram page, the actress cautioned men who think only physical abuse counts as violence, reminding them that verbal abuse leaves invisible scars that no apology can heal.

According to Regina, harsh words may not bruise a woman’s skin but they leave permanent damage to her heart, confidence, and peace of mind. She added that once a woman’s peace is gone, the man will never experience the same version of her again.

“Verbally abusing your woman is just as bad as hitting her, because those words echo in places no apology can reach. You might not leave marks on her skin, but you’ll leave damage on her heart, her confidence, and her peace. And once a woman’s peace is gone, you’ll never get the same version of her again,” she wrote.

A few months ago, Regina sparked conversations online when she asked women whether they would prefer a man who beats them but gives them ₦300,000 daily or one who offers peace of mind with ₦10,000 a month.

In another post, the actress described women as the most resilient beings on earth, noting how they often cry in private yet show strength in public. She encouraged women to keep their heads high despite life’s challenges.

Meanwhile, actor Uche Maduagwu recently called out clergyman Apostle Johnson Suleman for criticizing women who say “love na scam.” Uche defended such women, saying many have endured heartbreak and pain, hence their skepticism about love.
