Real Madrid star Rodrygo has quashed speculation about his future at the club following rumors that Kylian Mbappe’s impending arrival could prompt his departure.
The Brazilian winger, Rodrygo, clearly said he wants to stay with Real Madrid and is very happy there.
People questioned Rodrygo’s future at the club after interviews suggested he might leave if he didn’t feel important anymore. However, on Wednesday, Rodrygo clarified on social media. He wrote on X,
Today, a very annoying situation happened where one of my interviews was completely taken out of context. To be clear, I am VERY happy at Real Madrid. I live a dream every day, and leaving the club of my life NEVER crosses my mind! Now, we continue to make history. HALA MADRID AND NOTHING MORE!”
In an earlier interview with Placar TV, Rodrygo had said that while he dreams of staying at Real Madrid, he would consider other opportunities if he felt less important to the team. “I want to stay here for many years. I want to be here as long as I feel that I help and I’m important to the team. And from the moment when I see that I’m no longer important, maybe it’s time to look for another place,” he said.
Despite these remarks, Rodrygo emphasized his commitment to Real Madrid, saying, “Everyone knows that my dream is always to play for Real Madrid — I want to be here, but everything can be discussed. But my objective is to continue here.”
Rodrygo will play for Real Madrid one last time this season when they face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley on Saturday. His commitment will be crucial as Carlo Ancelotti’s team aims for another European victory.
