Sophia Momodu Celebrates Daughter Imade on Her 10th Birthday Amid Custody Drama with Davido

Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of Nigerian music star Davido, has taken to Instagram to celebrate her daughter Imade Adeleke as she turns 10 today, May 14th, 2025.

Sophia shared stunning photos of Imade dressed as a real-life princess, expressing gratitude to God for the milestone. In her heartfelt post, she wrote:

“We’re officially double digits… my heart is so full. God is so good! #ImadeIs10.”

She also gave credit to Heiress Couture Nigeria, Eleanor Goodey Photography, and Bernard Smiles for bringing her daughter’s princess-themed look to life.

Reflecting on her birthday message to Imade last year, Sophia described her daughter as the “love of her life” and a symbol of divine blessings. Davido had also expressed love for his daughter, promising to see her soon.

To mark the special day, Sophia hosted a pink-themed birthday party for Imade, attended by close friends, including Tiwa Savage’s son, who is known to be Imade’s best friend.

While celebrating Imade’s milestone, Sophia continues to grapple with a bitter custody battle with Davido.

In June 2024, Davido filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody of Imade, accusing Sophia of denying him access and extorting money. Sophia, however, opposed his plea, citing concerns about his ability to raise their daughter, especially after the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi.

Their co-parenting relationship further deteriorated when Davido publicly reunited with and professed love for his wife, Chioma Rowland, leading Sophia to accuse him of financial abuse.

In December 2023, Sophia reignited the feud by sharing screenshots of an emotional chat between Imade and her grandmother.
