Sophia Momodu recently got a firsthand experience of Gen Alpha’s unique behaviour from her daughter, Imade Adeleke.
The proud mother took to social media to share a funny incident involving her daughter’s interaction with her friends, leaving her both amused and bewildered.
In a light-hearted tweet, Sophia Momodu wrote,
Yo forget Gen Z, have y’all heard Gen Alpha’s talking? Consider me lost.com—my 9-year-old & her friends are blowing my mind with all these new slangs today.”
She went on to describe an encounter where her daughter and her friends giggled over a conversation with a family friend.
Ran into a friend of mine while I was out shopping with my madam & her friends & while he was talking to me I saw my girls giggling on the side. Tell me why they said, ‘he looks MAX but why was he MEWING so much?’ When I tell you I had to sit down & allow them to lecture me.”
Sophia further shared,
Anyways, if y’all were wondering, according to my Gen Alpha, I’ve always had ‘the RIZZ’ (aka been that girl) and apparently, I’m also very ‘Skibidi’ (pretty awesome). But I’m pretty sure it’s ‘cos I let them run wild at Sephora.”
Sophia Momodu and her daughter Imade Adeleke share a strong bond, often displaying their cute moments together on social media. Despite the light-hearted moments, Sophia’s journey as a mother has not been without challenges. She fought hard to gain full custody of Imade, facing significant opposition.
Her child custody battle with Davido was a messy and public affair, where she endured considerable online backlash. Despite the controversy, Sophia remained steadfast, determined to protect her daughter. In the end, Davido conceded, stating that Imade would find him when she’s grown and able to make her own decisions.
