Nigerian singer Spyro has captured the internet’s attention by showcasing the stunning interior of his newly completed mansion. Known for his hit song Who Is Your Guy, Spyro has shared his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to achieving remarkable success.
In February, Spyro revealed that he was working on his third mansion, a dream that started in 2018 when he lived in a one-room apartment in Gbagada. Despite having little at the time, he held on to a strong belief that God would transform his life. Today, that faith has borne fruit, and Spyro’s achievements stand as a testament to perseverance and divine blessings.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Spyro gave fans an inside look at his mansion’s breathtaking interior, which he designed to his taste. Sharing his excitement, he captioned:
Sometimes it feels like I am dreaming. Interiors are done by me for me. Dropping a video of the process in a bit.
Now loud it and let the world know that my Jesus can actually take a man from abject poverty and make him super rich without demanding anything in return.”
Spyro’s journey has been far from easy. Reflecting on his past, he humorously stated that poverty “used him to cook Efo Riro.” However, he attributes his transformation to what he calls a “Big God” who changed his story and gave him a new song.
Earlier this year, Spyro emphasized the importance of faith, shading Ubi Franklin in the process by saying God’s blessings didn’t come with a “10% cut.” He used the opportunity to encourage upcoming artists, asserting that serving God truly pays.
Spyro’s rise to fame hasn’t been without challenges. In 2023, he recounted his struggles while signed to Paulo Okoye’s record label. Spyro claimed he had to take loans to sustain himself as he allegedly earned nothing from the deal. Paulo countered these claims, sharing evidence of spending N12 million on Spyro. In response, Spyro maintained his stance and even recalled being evicted from a foreign hotel during that time.
The singer’s financial journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. He began 2023 with less than ₦10,000 in his account but has since purchased multiple houses and cars for himself and his family. Spyro credits much of his success to the inspiration he draws from his mother’s sacrifices, dedicating his achievements to her.
