Inibehe Effiong, a human rights lawyer, has criticised the House of Representatives’ proposed bill to create Bola Tinubu University.
Effiong called the bill a sycophancy, claiming it is a problem in the country.
The representatives want to create Bola Tinubu University to educate Nigerian languages.
The bill is sponsored by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu and eight others.
However, in a post on his X Twitter on Saturday, the human rights lawyer said that Tinubu had not done enough to improve Nigeria’s educational system.
He said:
“Some members of the House of Representatives have introduced a Bill to establish a “Bola Tinubu University”.
“The same Bola Tinubu whose educational background is shrouded in controversy.
What has Tinubu done to revamp Nigeria’s educational system?
“Sycophancy is a problem in this country.”
