Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade have neutralised three known bandits in Taraba’s Karim Lamido Local Government Area.

This is according to a statement signed by the brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Lt. Olabodunde Oni, in Jalingo on Thursday.

He said that the successful raid led in the recovery of two AK-47 guns, a motorbike used by the thieves, and a stockpile of 40 rounds of 7.62 mm Special ammunition.

The public relations officer revealed that the operation took place in Chibi, where forces used actionable intelligence to launch a precision attack against the offenders.

According to him, the engagement displays the forces’ persistent dedication to preserving peace and security in Taraba.

The statement also stated that Commander 6 Brigade, Brig.-Gen. Kingsley Uwa, praised the troops for their courage and effectiveness in carrying out the mission.

Oni further stated that the Brigade Commander highlighted the military’s intention to clear the state of criminals while ensuring the safety and well-being of the local populace.
