The Transmission Company of Nigeria, or TCN, has announced that Lokoja and its environs in Kogi State would be without power on Thursday.
Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s general manager of Public Affairs, confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the company, the blackout is due to maintenance on 60 megavolt-ampere transformers and switchgear at the Lokoja 330/132/33-kilovolt Transmission Substation in Kogi State.
TCN stated that the blackout will continue from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
TCN in its statement, said:
“Consequently, Abuja DisCo will not be able to offtake bulk power supply from the transformer for its customers in LOKOJA TOWN, CBN, KOTON KARFE and environs.
“Please note that bulk power supply will be restored immediately after the maintenance is completed.”
