Nigerian music executive Tunji Balogun, popularly known as Tee Billz, has penned an emotional note to his family while reflecting on the death of his mother. Sharing the message via his Instagram page, Tee Billz admitted that losing his mother broke him deeply but also awakened something new within him.
In the touching post, the former music manager expressed regret over the pain he may have caused his children, their mothers, and his family. He also revealed that he’s now relying on God to heal the wounds he cannot fix himself.
“After all the pain and loss, losing my mother broke me, but it also woke something in me!
To my kids, their mothers, my family, and my loved ones — I’m sorry for the hurt I caused.
I’m trying and trusting God to fix what I can’t,” he wrote.
Tee Billz lost his mother last year and gave her a befitting burial in October, which was attended by friends, family, and several of his industry colleagues. His children from different relationships, including his son with singer Tiwa Savage, were also present.
Earlier this year, Tee Billz made headlines after calling out Tiwa Savage’s manager, accusing him of overbooking the singer and leaving their son, Jamil, feeling neglected. According to him, Jamil had confessed to feeling lonely and missing his mother’s presence.
Back in May, the father of several children sparked mixed reactions when he posted a photo of his 18-year-old daughter with her boyfriend. He proudly stated that he welcomed the young man into his home because he believes in allowing his children to explore life and discover their own truths rather than sheltering them.
Tee Billz first gained public attention through his marriage to Tiwa Savage. The pair tied the knot on November 23, 2013, and welcomed their son, Jamil, in 2015. However, their marriage ended in 2018 following allegations of infidelity and drug use from both sides.
In a tell-all interview after their split, Tiwa Savage revealed that she had been unhappy for a long time and only tried to maintain appearances for the public. She denied cheating on Tee Billz and shared why she eventually stopped working with him as her manager.
Since then, Tee Billz has moved on with his first baby mama, with whom he welcomed another child. He often praises her publicly, once describing her as the woman who helped him find peace again and admitting that he would be lost without her.
