Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced retirement from football aged 41. The Swedish legend scored 511 goals in 866 club games as well as 62 in 122 for his country. He announced his retirement from football on Sunday after AC Milan’s final match of the Serie A season. “It’s the moment to say goodbye to football, not just to you,” said Ibrahimovic on the San Siro pitch following Milan’s 3-1 win over Verona.

Zlatan is one of the most mesmerizing football players in the world. He has played professional football for over two decades and has made a name for himself as one of the most skilled and talented players to ever grace the game. From humble beginnings in Sweden, Ibra has risen to the top of the football world, playing for some of the biggest clubs and winning numerous titles along the way.

Born in Malmo, Sweden, on October 3, 1981, Ibrahimovic grew up in a working-class family. His father was a Bosnian Muslim and his mother was a Croatian Catholic, and he faced discrimination early on due to his mixed heritage. Ibrahimovic began his professional career in 1999, playing for Malmo FF.

In 2009, Ibrahimovic made a move to Barcelona, where he joined a team that included Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta. Though he struggled to adapt to the team’s playing style, he still managed to score 21 goals in 45 appearances. He also helped Barcelona win the La Liga title.

Despite his success at Barcelona, Ibra is perhaps best known for his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

He joined the French club in 2012 and quickly became a fan favourite. During his time at PSG, he scored an incredible 156 goals in 180 appearances, helping the team win numerous titles, including four consecutive Ligue 1 titles. Ibrahimovic’s career has also been marked by numerous personal achievements. He has won the Swedish Footballer of the Year award 11 times, the most of any player in history. He has also been named to the UEFA Team of the Year three times and has won the Puskas Award for the best goal of the year.

Off the field, Ibrahimovic is known for his larger-than-life personality and his confidence. He has been known to make bold statements and predictions.
