President Bola Tinubu has approved a N150,000 grant to each Jigawa State business owner.
This was announced in a statement by the State House in Abuja and published by Vice President Kashim Shettima on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Shettima stated that the grant was part of Nigeria’s digital transformation and leadership agenda in Africa.
According to the press statement, the Vice President stated this at the opening of the Dutse AI Expertise Blockchain and Technology Training and Outsourcing Initiative.
Shettima disclosed that Nigeria is not only catching up with the rest of the globe but is on track to exceed them in terms of economics and technology.
He had previously opened the 4th edition of the Expanded National Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Clinic, saying that Tinubu had ordered that each business owner in the state get a grant of N150,000 as part of the Federal Government’s support for MSMEs throughout the country.
He pointed out that the N150,000 grant is an upfront grant that does not compel beneficiaries to repay.
