Tinubu, governors pay last respects to 17 slain soldiers

President Tinubu, Vice-president Shetimma, several governors, and ministers were seen paying their last respect to the 17 slain soldiers in Delta state.

The bodies of 17 military men, including four officers and 13 soldiers, who were killed by irate youths in Okuama, Delta State, on a peace mission on March 14, have arrived at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja for burial.

The bodies arrived at 2:30 p.m. and were transported by the FCT Ambulance Emergency Services and other vehicles.

General Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff; Lt-General Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff; Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff; and Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff, are all in attendance.

The Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, are also present.
