Ten executive directors from the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy have been appointed by President Bola Tinubu to the Nigerian Communications Commission, Galaxy Backbone Limited, and Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited.
In a signed statement dated Thursday, “President Tinubu reconstitutes management teams in agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy,” Ajuri Ngelale, Special Advisor to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed the most recent recruits.
He named Rimini Makama the Executive Commissioner of Stakeholder Management at the Nigerian Communications Commission, Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi the President and CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute, and Abraham Oshadami the Executive Commissioner of Technical Services at the Commission.
He appointed Abiodun Attah as Executive Director of Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director of Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director of Marketing & Business Development at Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited.
Along with three executive directors, the President also nominated Ibrahim Adeyanju, Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone Limited.
Olusegun Olulade, Executive Director of Customer Centricity & Marketing; Mohammed Ibrahim, Executive Director of Finance & Corporate Services; and Olumbe Akinkugbe, Executive Director of Digital Exploration & Technical Services, are among them.
President Tinubu anticipates that the newly appointed individuals would “deliver excellent service to elevate the impact of the digital economy sector on the socio-economic development of the nation,” according to Ngelale, after the reorganisation of the management teams in these institutions.
