President Bola Tinubu’s scheduled visit to Abia State to officially inaugurate the state’s first power plant, the Aba Integrated Power Project, in the Osisioma Local Government Area has been rescheduled.
The President was scheduled to sign off on a multibillion-naira power project for the Aba Ringed Fenced Area, which includes nine of the state’s seventeen local government districts, on Saturday, February 24.
The local government areas include of Obingwa, Ugwunagbo, Ukwa East and West, Osisioma, Isiala Ngwa North and South, and Aba North and South.
The President’s visit has been rescheduled from Saturday to Monday, February 26, according to a statement released by Geometric management on Wednesday.
“We wish to notify you that the Presidency has shifted the commissioning date for the Aba Integrated Power Project (Aba IPP) from Saturday, February 24, 2024, to Monday, Feb 26, 2024.
“We hope that your schedule will accommodate this change and we apologize for any inconvenience this date change may cause you. We would be most delighted to see you at the event on Monday,” the statement reads.
