President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians not to be concerned about the massive departure of young professionals to foreign nations.
Japa is a local term for the widespread departure of qualified professionals seeking better opportunities elsewhere.
Tinubu, who made the appeal while on an official visit to Imo State to observe Governor Hope Uzodimma’s second term inauguration in Owerri yesterday, stated that more Nigerians will be educated to replace the gaps created by those who relocated outside.
According to Tinubu:
“Don’t worry about what you are hearing about Japa syndrome. We will train more people and supply them.”
