Kalu Aja, a financial analyst and educator, has described President Bola Tinubu’s media team as dysfunctional.
“The President’s Media team is dysfunctional,” wrote Aja on X.
The announcement came after an chilly conflict between two of Tinubu’s media advisers.
The conflict is centred on a video uploaded on the President’s verified X page on Wednesday.
In the video linked to the tweet, the President asked Nigerians to be patient while they navigated economic hardship, assuring them that efforts are being made to create a stable and bright future for all Nigerians.
A cursory check earlier revealed that the statement had originally been placed on the X page of O’tega Ogra, a Senior Special Assistant to the President.
Ogra posted the same video at 1:49 p.m. and wrote:
“A Passionate Plea from President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT to all Nigerians.”
However, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, responded to X, labelling the video as outdated.
Onanuga stated that Tinubu has not made any additional public statements since his previous Sunday show.
He wrote:
“Trending video of President Tinubu is an old video
“A trending video of President Tinubu which came out on Wednesday is not a new video. It’s a clip from the broadcast he made last year.
“President Tinubu has not made any other public statement since his last broadcast on Sunday.”
