Celebrated Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has been recognized for her remarkable contributions to the Nigerian film industry. Silverbird announced that the actress would receive the prestigious Trailblazer Award at the 2024 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.

The organisers expressed pride in awarding Toyin, citing her unforgettable performances in films like The Ghost and the Tout, Fate of Alakada, and Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper. They also lauded her for setting new benchmarks as a producer and filmmaker.

Toyin responded to the announcement with excitement, declaring, “I will stand with kings and queens.”
In December last year, Toyin celebrated a career milestone as her latest movie broke her previous records at the Cinema. She shared how surpassing her own achievements remains a personal goal, despite challenges from critics.
The actress has consistently expressed gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support, reaffirming that she views herself as her only competition.
