Ola Aina, a former Chelsea defender, is set to join Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.
The right back’s contract with his previous club Torino expired at the beginning of July, and it is believed that the 26-year-old, who graduated from Chelsea’s academy, underwent a physical on Friday before signing a two-year contract.
Ola’s contract also has a season extension option, which would keep him with the Tricky Trees through June 2026.
The Nigerian international, who spent the 2020–21 season on loan at Fulham, has Premier League experience and is expected to be the first addition to Steve Cooper’s team this summer.
