Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, has introduced a new logo for the social media company.
The logo replaces the original Twitter blue bird emblem with a white “X” on a black backdrop.
Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino announced the new logo with a tweet: “X is here! Let’s do this.”
The logo was also projected on the company’s offices in San Francisco, according to another tweet.
Elon Musk also tweeted, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
The X logo appeared on Musk’s and Twitter CEO’s usernames, although the blue bird is still visible across the network.
As many users hated the new X, the hashtag “#GoodbyeTwitter” trended on the network in allusion to the former logo.
