New York Congresswoman Grace Meng expressed sympathy for President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 US presidential election.
Meng said on X that she was “upset and mad,” stating that the bullies had prevailed by compelling the President to withdraw.
She identified Joe Biden as the most successful and sympathetic, claiming that the 81-year-old was unfairly abused by members of his own party.
However, Meng stated that her child has advised her to “stop being sad and start helping” Kamala Harris.
She wrote:
“I put out a prettier statement earlier, but the truth is I’m upset. I’m mad that the bullies won. I’m mad that the most accomplished & empathetic Joe Biden was treated the way he was-even by some in his own party.
“But like my kid told me, stop being sad & start helping.”
President Biden has previously announced his withdrawal from the November presidential election in the United States.
His statement came in response to pressure mounted on him from his Democratic colleagues on Capitol Hill, prominent funders, and Hollywood personalities following a terrible debate performance last month.
