Nollywood actress Victoria Inyama recently revealed shocking details about the abusive relationship she endured with her ex-husband, Godwin Okrim, in an interview with Chude Jideonwo.
In a candid conversation, she disclosed that her ex-husband would physically abuse her whenever Manchester United lost a match, leaving her with lasting trauma.
Victoria expressed her strong dislike for the football club, attributing it to the numerous beatings she endured. She admitted that even to this day, when she sees Manchester United lose, she is reminded of the painful beatings inflicted by her ex-husband. Surprisingly, her son is aware of this trauma, and they often share a laugh over it.
In addition to the football-related abuse, Victoria recounted instances of mental, psychological, and physical abuse. She shared how her ex-husband would bring his girlfriends to their matrimonial home to torment her and detailed threats of violence, including threats to kill her or put her in jail.
Despite the harrowing experiences, Victoria clarified that she doesn’t regret putting her acting career on hold for her marriage. She emphasized the importance of her three children, stemming from the marriage, and expressed that they remain her priority.
This isn’t the first time Victoria Inyama has spoken out about her traumatic marriage. In 2020, she shared details of the humiliation, maltreatment, and threats she endured in an Instagram chat. Last year, after a hiatus from the movie industry, she made a powerful comeback with the premiere of her new movie, signaling a resurgence in her career.
