La Liga club Villarreal has honored Super Eagles attacker Samuel Chukwueze for reaching his 200th appearance.
Chukwueze has enjoyed a brilliant season; the Nigerian forward has registered 13 goals and 11 assists in 46 appearances for the club.
The 23-year-old was the youngest player in the club’s history to achieve the feat.
The Nigerian joined Villarreal from Diamond Football Academy in 2018 and reached 200 caps for the club on the 27th of April in Villarreal’s 4-2 victory against Espanyol at Estadio de la Ceramica.
The club honored his teammates Jeremy Pino, Etienne Capoue, and Dani Parejo.
As a mark of honor, the club’s President, Fernando R,oig presented him with a commemorative shirt.
Chukwueze has reportedly been linked with a move away from Real Madrid and Aston Villa, among his suitors.
