Renowned hair vendor and businesswoman Wanneka has shared another piece of advice on marriage, this time focusing on the pressure society often places on people to marry early.

In a recent post, she emphasized the importance of taking time to find the right partner and not rushing into marriage.

Wanneka began her message by wishing singles well in their journey to marriage, hoping that their first marriages would also be their last and happiest.

She urged people to avoid rushing or succumbing to desperation, highlighting that marriage is not a race.

Marriage is not a competition. Marry when you know and feel it’s right with your actual better half,” she wrote.

Wanneka addressed the misconception that marrying in one’s early 20s is the only ideal timeframe. She reassured her audience that marrying later in life, even at 30 or 31, is not a taboo. As she pointed out, marrying later can still lead to a fulfilling family life, with the same joys of becoming a parent and eventually a grandparent.

She also touched on the societal pressure many women face to marry early, explaining that this often leads to hasty decisions that may result in marrying the wrong person.

Would you rather marry your enemy in your 20s or marry your real husband that God has destined for you in your 30s?” Wanneka asked, encouraging women to avoid getting married just for the sake of it.

Wanneka, who has spoken from personal experience, reminded her followers that God never intended for marriages to end in divorce. She acknowledged that divorce sometimes becomes necessary when peace is at stake, but she believes it can often be avoided by taking the time to marry the right person from the start.

In closing, Wanneka underscored that marriage should be viewed with the long-term in mind. She urged singles to think about whether they’ll be happy with their partner 20 years down the road when the kids are grown and it’s just the two of them left. “Marriage is not about the now, it’s about the later,” she concluded.
