Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, believes the age of talk shows is gone and that appointees must strive to “walk the walk.”

Tunji-Ojo stated this while speaking as a Special Guest at a breakfast gathering sponsored by Business Day in Abuja.

He said:

“I have no excuse whatsoever not to secure the nation’s borders. President Bola Tinubu to solve problems.

“We must work the talk in line with the present administration’s slogan of Renewed Hope”.

Tunji-Ojo went on to say that any nation that cannot safeguard its borders would constantly be under pressure from its military, police, and other security professionals and that the capacity to manage borders decreases insecurity by more than 70%.

He said that the Ministry of Interior is very important to any nation and that he does not want to be recognised as the Minister who fixes passport difficulties, “because there are bigger things to solve.”

“Also any country that cannot critically analyse, dictate and determine who comes in and who goes out of its country is prone to insecurity”, Tunji-Ojo added.
