Bayer Leverkusen’s head coach, Xabi Alonso, has officially announced that Victor Boniface will not participate in the upcoming Saturday fixture against Hoffenheim. Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Alonso clarified that Boniface is set to rejoin the squad for the Wednesday encounter against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
Boniface’s absence stemmed from a groin injury sustained during the Super Eagles’ camp ahead of the 2023 AFCON.
