Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State, has approved the appointment of Hamidu M. Alhaji as Acting Head of Service.
The spokesperson to the Governor, Mamman Mohammed, confirmed the appointment in a statement released to the media on Monday.
Following the departure of the former Head of Service, Alhaji Garba Bilal, last week, Hamidu M. Alhaji was appointed as interim Head of Service, according to the statement.
The statement reads:
“His Excellency the Executive Governor of Yobe state, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has also approved the appointment of Mohammed Alkali Dingiri, as Accountant General of the State.
“Until his appointment, Mohammed Alkali Dingiri was the Director of Treasury.”
According to the statement, Governor Buni also approved the appointments of Musa Audu Farafara as Permanent Secretary and Bulama Garba as Director of the State Treasury.
The appointments are effective immediately, according to the statement.
