Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, who has also taken on the mantle of a clergyman, recently explained his temporary retreat from his online ministry.
Through an Instagram post, Edochie detailed his reasons for stepping back, emphasizing his need for spiritual preparation to effectively carry out God’s work. He shared that this period was filled with significant spiritual revelations and growth.
Religion will not save us. Prayer is not enough. That is why we have thousands of churches springing up every day, yet evil persists,” Edochie wrote. He highlighted the importance of understanding and combating the devil’s plans beyond just religious practices. Edochie announced his return with a promise of enlightening his followers, urging them not to miss his live broadcast on YouTube and TikTok, where he will share the secrets revealed to him and teach protective measures against evil.
Edochie’s journey into ministry began earlier this year when he launched The Salvation Ministry online. Skeptics initially dismissed his new venture as a publicity stunt, but Edochie quickly proved them wrong by holding his first online service on January 28th. During this service, a miraculous healing reportedly occurred, further solidifying his commitment to his calling.
Throughout his ministry, Edochie has not shied away from controversial statements. During Easter, he advised against the destruction of traditional shrines, arguing that not all deities are evil and that many traditional practices have been wrongly abandoned due to colonial influence. He has been vocal about his belief that much of organized religion is a scam designed to control people, advocating instead for a return to the ancestral ways of worshiping the Almighty God in diverse and more efficient manners.
