Our Client is a prominent FEED organization in Nigeria executing projects for major IOCs. The successful Principal Process Engineer must be willing to relocate to the West or Southern part of Nigeria. The vacancy is open to Nationals and Expats.

Job Description

  • Lead the process design activities on Studies, FEEDs, and EPC Projects ensuring that design meets contractual, safety, and quality requirements and is delivered on time and within assigned budgets.
  • Understand the technical and commercial risks associated with project scopes and manage these risks through execution.
  • Ensure that designs satisfy all operational and safety requirements. Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed.
  • File process calculations and other documents in the proper manner after design work.
  • Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check work of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate.
  • Develop the basis of design as the Lead Process Engineer, undertake detailed calculations to develop the design, and be responsible for the accuracy of these calculations.
  • Ensure that detailed design methods, standards, and data used conform with the Client’s requirements.
  • Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment specifications, Process Descriptions, and P&IDs for review and approval.
  • Be responsible for the checking or approval of process calculations by Client procedures.
  • Perform and check safety-related calculations and provide input to HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and other safety reviews.
  • Contribute where necessary to review supplier quotations and reviews of the project 3D CAD model.
  • Ensure that requirements of the Licensor’s Secrecy Agreements are known and complied with within the work performed.
  • Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with Client Engineers
  • Assist as required in the preparation of Operating Manuals.

Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineering Degree
  • COREN Certified preferred.
  • Experience in leading work on Studies, FEED, and EPC Projects
  • Specific experience in Oil & Gas Refinery, Energy, Chemicals, Carbon Capture, and Hydrogen sectors.
  • Experience in, the delivery of Brownfield and Greenfield projects.
  • Proven core Process Engineering skills, including design experience.
  • A self-motivated, proactive individual with high achievement drive and initiative, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good organizational awareness.
  • Ability to impact and influence fellow workers.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to respond to customer needs whilst achieving project and corporate objectives.
  • Display analytical and innovation skills to manage new technology.
