The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology in Ikere Ekiti has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 33 new undergraduate programmes.
This came after a team of specialists from NUC visited the institution to evaluate its capacity to carry out the suggested programmes regarding personnel and material resources. BOUESTI was awarded a clean bill of health as a consequence.
The BOUESTI Public Relations Officer released a statement on Saturday stating that they issued the clearance to the vice chancellor, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa. This was in a June 19, 2023 letter.
Temitope Akinbisoye said, “With this approval, the institution now offers 78-degree programmes.
In response, the VC described it as “a welcome development and a testament of the institution’s avowed commitment to excellence and qualitative education”.
The programs offer a Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics Management, Procurement Management, Educational Technology, and Library and Information Science. Other options include Early Childhood Education and Computer Science Education. History, English and Literary Studies, History and International Studies, and French are also available.
