Deji Adeyanju, an activist lawyer, has accused Nigeria’s government of hiring thugs to infiltrate the #EndBadGovernance rally.
The activist lawyer posted on X, saying:
“The thugs the government is recruiting will end up looting shops and causing maximum destruction but they will not be able to stop the protest. A word is enough for the wise.
“We have fresh intel of massive mobilization of thugs by the government to attack protesters at the national stadium.
“They are currently taking off and heading to the stadium now. The @PoliceNG must protect protesters.”

Amidst the controversy surrounding the nationwide protests scheduled to begin on August 1, Minister of Niger Delta Development, Abubakar Momoh, has stated that youths in the region should do a superficial evaluation of the Tinubu government before embarking on any protests.
